Hany Elkoshairi was born and raised in Cairo, Egypt. His love and encouragement for painting developed from his mother who was a landscape and portrait painter. 

 

In the early 1960’s he held solo exhibitions under the supervision of M. Elmasry (a well known artist in Egypt) and his works appeared in several private collections. 

 

He graduated as an architect in 1972 and traveled to Europe where he used to paint and sell his paintings. Hany further developed his skills working with one of the most famous artists in Egypt, Hossni El- Banani.
